About team: As a world-renowned VR/AR brand with independent innovation and R&D capabilities, Pico has been at the forefront of the consumer electronic market. We have teams in Northern America, Europe, Japan and South Korea. We are looking for a creative Optical Systems Engineer to join us to build our AR/VR display optics system team, to develop and lead new optical module development for Pico products.
Optical System Scientists specializing in Augmented Reality (AR) display systems are integral to the development of advanced optical technologies that enhance user experiences.
Responsibilities
– Explore and develop the next generation of display optics systems for AR and MR products.
– Explore and evaluate new technologies with the potential of improving optical and system performance.
– Conceptual design and prototyping of advanced display optics components and systems to demonstrate improvement in performance.
– Work across engineering, product, and other cross-functional teams to define, simulate, develop, and realize a variety of optical systems.
– Work with internal and external partners to develop productization roadmap and strategies for advanced technologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
– PhD degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
– Experience in designing and prototyping optical systems for AR/MR applications.
– Experience in optical design software (e.g. Zemax, Code V, LightTool, etc.).
– Experience in scientific programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C++ or similar.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Experience communicating and collaborating in a cross-functional team environment.
– 3+ years of industry experience working on near eye display systems development.
