Requirements
- Must be highly proficient in compressor and engine operations.
- Possess complete understanding of surface production equipment.
- Must have troubleshooting skills that seldom require assistance.
- Should be able to diagnose general electronic control problems.
- Must be willing to travel and willing to relocate, if necessary.
- Must have mechanical aptitude.
- Must be able to meet company lifting standards.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have good customer-relation skills.
- Must be able to work nights and days for 12-hour shifts on a rotating shift schedule.
Responsibilities
- Perform skilled tasks including all levels of startup, shutdown, operating, and performing minor repairs to rental fleet compressors.
- Understand gas gathering, distribution, compression, and treating concepts.
- Able to identify and understand gas compositions, flow system challenges, and characteristics of treated and untreated gas.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose compressor system failures and communicate those failures with the Customer, Operations, and Maintenance teams.
- Optimize compression equipment performance.
- Comply with all company and customer safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Comply with all other company policies and procedures.
- Complete appropriate paperwork as directed.
- Continually hone and develop electronic and computer skills.
- Demonstrate and further develop leadership skills.
- Present a professional image.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of compressor operations or related industry experience preferred.
