Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum three (3) years of demonstrated ability as an operations technician or similar role (for Operations Technician III)
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience as an Operations Technician or similar role including a minimum of one (1) years’ experience as an Operations Technician in the Oil and Gas Industry (for Operations Technician II)
  • Minimum six (6) months mechanical, technical, or controls systems experience in the oil and gas industry or operations technician summer internship with Associates Degree (for Operations Technician I)
  • Valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
  • Proficient/advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers (for Operations Technician III and II)
  • Basic knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers (for Operations Technician I)

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of tasks to safely maintain equipment and support operations; tests, calibrates and validates process safety devices and equipment
  • Responsible for data analysis and collaboration with others to find solutions to technical or operational problems
  • Follows all company policies and applies appropriate operating and maintenance procedures
  • Acquires knowledge of and adheres to requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets
  • Maintains general knowledge of site/location/equipment/specific permits and compliance
  • Troubleshoots, operates, repairs and maintains mechanical and electrical systems including both low and high voltage equipment and uninterruptible power supply systems; removes, repairs and reinstalls sensing elements for flow, temperature, pressure and level measurement
  • Completes assigned reports, logs and maintains accurate records of process operations and performance of preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates or 2-year technical degree (for Operations Technician III and II)
  • Minimum two (2) years experience with Distributive Control Systems and Allen Bradley PLCs (for Operations Technician III)
  • Possess a journeyman or electrical license (for Operations Technician III and II)
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience with Distributive Control Systems and Allen Bradley PLCs (for Operations Technician II)
