Requirements
- B.Sc. degree in a process related engineering discipline (Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred) or equivalent in experience and education.
- Decision making ability, planning and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage a dynamic manufacturing environment, interacting and communicating across functional lines and levels.
- Ability to demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to learn and apply Ingredion’s GMP, Quality, ISO and Safety standards.
- Ability to train and coach others to improve performance.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of the plant operation including production adherence and troubleshooting of plant processes. This includes the prioritization and organization of personnel for maintenance repairs and departmental staffing.
- Providing guidance and advice to employees on troubleshooting equipment.
- Leadership, promotion and administration of Safety, Health, Environmental, Quality and Employment Standards, complying with applicable corporate and regulatory requirements applicable to area of responsibility.
- Optimization of production in compliance with product quality specifications and food safety requirements to meet production targets.
- Providing single point of contact for off-shift information transfer within the operating units including maintenance, operations, environmental, quality and safety.
- Serving as Plant Emergency Coordinator for the plant.
- Pursue plant improvement initiatives, projects, and process improvements.
- Identification of areas for improvement, proposing workable solutions to improve plant performance and follow up as appropriate.
- Communicating production changes to operators to ensure employees understand department requirements.
- Schedule changes for employees and arranging for callbacks in accordance with the collective agreement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Corn Refining operations and processes preferred, but not required.
