Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience in the automotive supplier industry as a Production Manager or a comparable position
  • Knowledge of Lean Management and Continuous Improvement (CIP)
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical or business field, completed vocational training as an Engineer or a comparable qualification

Responsibilities

  • Manages product and operations associate outcomes by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining associates; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Achieves product and operations operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, customer-service, safety, security, and health standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; identifying, developing, and implementing system improvements.
  • Determines Plant priorities by reviewing customer orders and requirements; analyzing equipment, materials, and associate availability; coordinating schedules with sales and warehousing; issuing processing plans and schedules.
  • Coordinates Plant processing priorities by reviewing processing output and new requirements.
  • Resolves processing scheduling problems by analyzing reports; reviewing equipment, materials, and associate availability; conferring with processing management; developing solutions.
  • Prepares processing planning information and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Contributes to plant and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Experience working in Forging or Heat Treatment
  • Ability to work collaboratively and inclusively within a diverse team.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and a diligent approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and align team objectives with company strategy.
