Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 6+ years of experience in operations research, industrial engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in coding/scripting languages such as Python, R, Java, C, C++, PHP
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain management – planning, manufacturing, operations, inventory, etc
- Experience working with distributed systems at scale
- Experience in infrastructure operations and technical infrastructure knowledge
- Experience in supply chain operations optimization
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Experience managing ambiguity
Responsibilities
- Own infrastructure supply chain operations for Meta (as part of Meta’s overall capacity delivery plan): including servers, network, and data center equipment from components through manufacturing to finished goods
- Design improvements to software systems to optimize supply chain operations efficiency and accuracy, partner with software engineers to implement and contribute code yourself
- Develop and analyze business, manufacturing, and logistics data and scenarios to solve complex problems in manufacturing operations and hardware logistics and delivery
- Develop and apply stochastic models to simulate complex manufacturing systems, including production capacity, throughput, and material flow
- Analyze simulation results to identify bottlenecks, optimize production, and improve overall system performance
- Contribute to end to end supply chain processes (as part of Meta’s overall capacity delivery plan), methodologies, and data to deliver an executable and optimized supply plan
- Manage and resolve critical escalations and exceptions in all areas of the supply chain
- Build mathematical models to perform simulation and optimization studies of manufacturing flow & capacity considering material inputs, supply partners, and logistics
- Work cross-functionally to define problem statements, collect data, build analytical models and make recommendations to drive change and optimization at the most strategic levels
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters or Ph.D. degree in Operations Research and/or Industrial Engineering
- 15+ years of technical and manufacturing operations experience in the hardware systems industry
- Proven experience interfacing with and establishing relationships with management at suppliers or customers
- Experience transforming business systems, models, and achieving results relative to goals. Demonstrated skills questioning the norm, thinking out-of-bounds, and delivering
- Experience interfacing with internal and external partners in a constantly evolving and cross-functional environment. Proven track record of effective judgment while coordinating people and technical resources
