Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software (i.e. Shopify, Square, Workday, Adaptive).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and projections for Retail, Hospitality, and other operational departments.
  • Track and report on financial performance against budget, highlighting variances and providing insights.
  • Ensure reporting processes adhere to industry standards and comply with financial reporting principles.
  • Support the annual budgeting process by gathering data, preparing reports, and coordinating with department heads.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data in reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial presentations for the Executive Council and other key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Operations teams to optimize financial processes and improve efficiency.
  • Provide financial interpretation, insights and recommendations to support decision-making in Retail and Hospitality operations.
  • Properly code invoices to ensure accurate budget tracking.
  • Support inventory management and assist with monthly soft and hard closes by coordinating with department leads and ensuring timely and accurate financial entries.
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
  • Support the Chief Operating Officer with financial analysis and special projects as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a Retail/Hospitality financial role is preferred but not required.
