Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred, but not always required)
- 2–4 years of experience in an operations, administrative, logistics, or coordination role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Outlook, and Word)
- Familiarity with fleet management software, GPS tracking tools, or CRM systems (if applicable)
- Comfortable using spreadsheets for tracking, reporting, and light data analysis
- Strong organizational skills: able to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines without dropping the ball
- Excellent communication skills: both written and verbal, for clear coordination across teams
- Problem-solving mindset: proactive and solution-oriented, especially when things don’t go as planned
- Attention to detail: accuracy matters when managing logistics, schedules, or reports
- Time management: thrives in fast-paced environments and knows how to pivot when priorities shift
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Customer-service mindset when dealing with internal and external stakeholders
- Comfortable being a “hub” of activity—someone who keeps things moving and connects the dots.
Responsibilities
- Drives efficient vehicle routing and operator scheduling
- Leads communication with drivers daily on route progress, changes, issues
- Ensures effective communication with customers daily on high priority delivery statuses
- Drives planning and execution of transport operations using TMS
- Drives transportation pricing models to meet shippers and consignees’ needs
- Coordinate with DCs for order updates and BOL requests to ensure timely fulfillment within service metrics
- Update and maintain customer portals with order status, freight tracking, claims status, and any other pertinent fulfillment information
- Adhere to Company compliance and Health Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and requirements
- Undertakes data collection from various sources and prepares spreadsheets for data analysis
- Contributes to research for industry trends and benchmarks and normalizes data to be incorporated into reports
- Undertakes reporting preparing charts and graphs, mailing lists, maps and ad hoc requests. May make presentations
- Resolves missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data
- Supports the analyses, reports, makes comparisons to industry/company benchmarks, determines trends, and prepares cost analyses
- Adhere to Company compliance and Health Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and requirements
- Regular and reliable attendance
