Requirements
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the Association of Surgical Technologist or Surgical Technician by the National Board of Surgical Technician and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) – Certification must be obtained within six months of hire. Must supply exam date prior to start of employment and complete a probationary period of six (6) months from date of hire
- Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist, Operating Room Technician or comparable training program or experience as an O.R. Technician/Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting
- High school diploma or GED
Responsibilities
- Provide crucial support to physicians throughout a wide range of surgical procedures (e.g., bariatric, robotic, and ENT)
- Function as a scrub person, circulation assistant, and member of the surgical team
- Assist in the care, preparation, and maintenance of supplies and equipment in the Operating Room
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as an OR/Surgical Tech in an acute care setting
