Requirements
- MD/DO
- Board-certified/eligible in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Florida
- At the (associate) professor level of the clinical educator or tenure track
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the Pediatric Cardiology Division’s clinical activities
- Provide administrative direction in cooperation with the department’s and hospital’s administration
- Oversee the development of clinical/education training content and marketing materials
- Ensure compliance with maternal-child health service line rules and regulations regarding patient care, billing documentation, and HIPAA
- Participate in the development and leadership of quality and safety initiatives and clinical practice improvements
- Implement the Service’s component of the Department’s and Hospital’s strategic plan
- Establish the Service as a leader on a local, national, and international level
- Assist in the acquisition of medical, financial, and research resources
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the Service and its integration with other providers
- Develop and monitor educational activities for residency and fellowship training programs
- Represent the Service in its contact with private and public organizations and institutions
- Prepare research publications to support clinical Service findings
- Implement the on-call schedule for the Service to ensure clinical coverage
