Requirements
- BA/BS required. Preferred degree in sciences.
- Minimum 3+ years of previous pharmaceutical, biotech, and/or medical sales experience with a documented track record of consistently outstanding sales performance.
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical marketplace and deep understanding of industry and broader trends in the healthcare landscape.
- Strong negotiation, partnering, and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage business relationships with external strategic partners.
- Ability to travel on a frequent overnight basis, with occasional weekend travel, depending on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Represent Syndax products primarily in the community setting to drive diagnosis and treatment of appropriate patients.
- Build referral maps capturing the patient journey between community practices and Academic centers in collaboration with your assigned Oncology Account Manager (OAM) partners.
- Holistically support accounts by creating relationships with physicians, allied healthcare professionals (Advanced Practitioners, Nurses, Pharmacists), and business stakeholders (CFOs, Office Practice Managers, Billers, etc.).
- Analyze business performance: Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan. This includes developing unique account plans, delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical education programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Demonstrate clinical/disease/product expertise and deliver strategic customer education.
- Work closely with multiple Syndax colleagues inside and outside the commercial organization to ensure strategic alignment and compliant execution of key strategies/tactics to advance overall business objectives.
- Utilize internal relationships and develop external relationships with account stakeholders, including, but not limited to, HCPs and advanced practice providers, to service and manage accounts.
- Leverage your passion for Oncology/disease state awareness, industry, regulatory, and competitive changes to deliver agreed upon results.
- Achieve national, regional, and individual territory sales goals.
- Review performance metrics with partner OAMs/RBD to ensure territory is achieving maximum sales results.
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key customers in the assigned geography, coordinating closely with OAM partners.
- Effectively promote and educate Health Care Providers (HCPs) on the use of Syndax products through one-on-one meetings, virtual engagements, company-approved promotional speaker programs, and other company-approved programs.
- Analyze local market trends, develop, execute and monitor performance and results to maximize the appropriate use of Syndax products.
- Demonstrate successful use of sales and marketing tools and resources to achieve business objectives.
- Demonstrate and maintain appropriate knowledge of Syndax product payor coverage to deliver against market access objectives for the assigned territory.
- Periodically attend local, regional and national congresses to promote Syndax brands to HCP attendees.
- Demonstrate accurate and timely completion of all administrative tasks such as call submission & reporting, expense management, vehicle mileage reporting, and related duties as required.
- Establish and maintain effective communications among RBD and OAMs; organize and monitor performance to achieve the business potential of the territory.
- Monitor and strive to maintain consistency between Sales and Marketing efforts and ensure high standards for executing business initiatives.
- Work closely with sales leadership and Market Access to maximize pull-through from commercial & government payers.
