Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 0-3 years of experience as a Nursing Assistant, in Patient Care or other related field with demonstrated increased responsibility in the healthcare industry
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required or must obtain within the first 3 months of hire
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certifications preferred
- CPR Certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Supports nursing personnel in providing direct patient care and assists patients with daily activities
- Serves and collects food trays and provides between-meal nourishment
- Changes bed linen, runs errands and prepares and sterilizes treatment trays and supplies
- Transports patients within the facility for consultations, treatments, tests, or examinations
- Measures and records patients’ vital signs such as temperature or pulse and provides basic treatment
- Ensures a safe care environment for the patients and their families
- Performs continuous rounds and check-ins throughout the shift to ensure patient and family needs are met
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certifications preferred
- CPR Certification preferred
