Requirements
- Massachusetts registered nurse with authorization to practice in the expanded role as a nurse practitioner by national certification
- Masters of Science degree
- Massachusetts controlled substances and US DEA licenses to prescribe, or eligibility for same
- Experience working with adolescents and young adults or in a college or school health setting
- Strong interest in preventive care and health education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy
- Strong team orientation in a small, cohesive office environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct primary health care to college students, including evaluation, treatment, appropriate referral and follow-up
- Provide health education and outreach to college students, one-on-one and in group presentations
- Support and advocate to enhance the public health of the University Community
- Triage and manage urgent health issues promptly
- Maintain confidential and accurate medical records
- Deliver health education to individuals and groups across campus
- Consult with colleagues and specialists
- Support administrative operations when needed
- Participate in key university events.
