Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, or GE Operations Management Leadership Program (OMLP) Graduate
Responsibilities
- Source and procure materials, components, and services required for new product development.
- Ensure alignment with engineering specifications, quality standards, and program timelines.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers capable of meeting NPI requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure collaboration and performance.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and program management teams to understand NPI requirements and timelines.
- Provide procurement expertise to support design changes, prototype builds, and production ramp-up.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including lead time constraints, capacity issues, and quality concerns.
- Develop contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted supply for NPI programs.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with GE Aerospace policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Track and report key performance metrics related to supplier performance, cost savings, and delivery timelines.
- Support lean initiatives and process improvements within the supply chain to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate on initiatives aligned with GE Aerospace’s FLIGHT DECK lean operating model.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the Aerospace & Defense industry
- Experience in supplier development and managing global supply chains
- Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP)
- Experience with NPI programs and working in cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement tools
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
- Technical Background: Manufacturing, Quality or Operations background in Aerospace or Industrial setting
- Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative
- Problem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- Established project management skills
