Requirements
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as a producer in a medium or large market is preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, journalism or a related field preferred.
- Must be able to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and multitask.
- Ideal candidate has familiarity with newsroom computer systems, graphics programs and video editing software.
Responsibilities
- Help create and launch a compelling, urgent, informative, and entertaining late news show.
- Produce each segment for both linear and digital audiences.
- Maintain a close relationship with the digital team to tailor content for various platforms.
- Participate in a unique editorial process with anchors, field reporters, and managers.
- Develop video and graphic elements for each story and design reporter hits.
- Work closely with the Meteorologist to create engaging weather segments.
- Produce news and sports specials, field produce big events, and take on other special projects.
