Requirements
- Extensive experience in network security, with a focus on designing and implementing and/or reviewing security controls in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, architecture, and infrastructure components.
- Proficiency in using and monitoring network security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, IDPS, VPNs, and SIEM solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex network security issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement network security policies, procedures, and best practices in alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the design, review, and implementation of network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS), virtual private networks (VPNs), and access control mechanisms.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate security controls into network architecture and infrastructure design.
- Stay current with emerging threats, technologies, and industry trends related to network security.
- Participate in incident response and forensic investigations as needed.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to network security architecture, configurations, and processes.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure the effectiveness of network security measures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field OR equivalent work experience
- Experience with developing and implementing cyber security policies.
- Risk management experience in a regulated environment.
- Knowledge of cyber security regulations and laws.
- Vulnerability assessments or penetration testing experience.
- Cyber incident response experience
