Requirements

  • Extensive experience in network security, with a focus on designing and implementing and/or reviewing security controls in enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, architecture, and infrastructure components.
  • Proficiency in using and monitoring network security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, IDPS, VPNs, and SIEM solutions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex network security issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement network security policies, procedures, and best practices in alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the design, review, and implementation of network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS), virtual private networks (VPNs), and access control mechanisms.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with other teams to integrate security controls into network architecture and infrastructure design.
  • Stay current with emerging threats, technologies, and industry trends related to network security.
  • Participate in incident response and forensic investigations as needed.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to network security architecture, configurations, and processes.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure the effectiveness of network security measures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field OR equivalent work experience
  • Experience with developing and implementing cyber security policies.
  • Risk management experience in a regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of cyber security regulations and laws.
  • Vulnerability assessments or penetration testing experience.
  • Cyber incident response experience
