Requirements
- Masters or Ph.D. degree in Engineering or related field coupled with proven industry experience.
- Proficiency in python programming
- Experience with the use of AI tools as aids to software code development
- Some experience in network analysis, and optimization
- Working knowledge of optical transport and data networking technologies (DWDM, OTN, Carrier Ethernet, and IP/MPLS).
- Good communication skills
Responsibilities
- Work with members of Ciena’s global sales force on the design, optimization, and analysis of customer IP and Optical network architectures.
- Develop algorithms and tools in Python to automate and optimize specific network planning tasks such as capacity planning, route and spectrum assignment, failure simulations, and more.
- Work with PLM and product development teams to bring new planning capabilities to market.
