Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in network engineering roles involving programs of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university (Four additional years of network engineering experience may be substituted for a degree)
- IAT Level II baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M
- IAT Level III certification within 12 months of hire
- CCIE or equivalent certification (or higher) required
- TS/SCI with full polygraph
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the design and implementation of high-speed, scalable, and fault-tolerant WAN and LAN network topologies
- Optimize network latency and data throughput to enhance system performance
- Validate new and existing dataflow and data formats to support mission requirements
- Lead large-scale efforts involving dynamic requirements, working closely with cross-functional teams
- Coordinate with dataflow organizations, end customers, and stakeholders to mitigate potential impacts on system-wide dataflow
- Perform security testing and design evaluations to ensure compliance with government standards
- Configure interconnects between data centers, networks, and security boundaries following government standards
- Draft technical requirements, configuration management, and documentation for network planning
- Design, configure, deploy, and maintain network devices and technologies including VPN, VRF, VSS, BGP, OSPF, and VLAN
- Optimize system performance related to capacity, margins, data quality, and dataflow management
