Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of contract sourcing, negotiation, OR Outside Plant construction contracting work experience
  • Business and technical knowledge, spreadsheets and project/program tracking.
  • Financial forecasting budgeting experience.
  • Experience preparing and presenting quantitative and qualitative comparative analysis and reports.
  • MS Suite proficiency, with experience using spreadsheet tools and/or programs.
  • Detail oriented with experience managing multiple cross-functional tasks and projects.
  • Negotiation skills and experience problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Support analysis of supplier contracts in the assigned geographic region. Including contract routing in internal systems and facilitating contract execution and changes.
  • Analysis and tracking of contract performance ensuring compliance of suppliers within the terms and conditions of the contract.
  • Collaborate with internal teams in development of systems and tools.
  • Drive data integrity Q/A and Q/C within internal systems.
  • Keeps abreast of the telecom wholesale market technological and commercial developments.
  • Engages new suppliers as needed. Negotiates commercial terms and works with the legal, finance and engineering teams for timely executions of contracts and Master Service Agreements.
  • Works closely with sourcing and implementation teams to help generate RFP/RFQ and requirements documents.
  • Contributes to the development of business plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Works closely with accounts payable for accurate processing of supplier invoices.
  • Generates clear and objective analysis and recommendations for management review and approval.
  • Promote and model an attitude of openness to giving, seeking, and receiving 360-degree feedback.
  • Travel up to 30% of the time within North America.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Work experience in procurement or sale of dark fiber, or lit capacity services.
  • Construction estimating, planning and project management experience.
  • Experience in procurement of new route construction services is desirable.
  • GIS/geospatial mapping systems tool experience.
  • Permitting and underlying rights knowledge experience.
  • Existing carrier/telecom/provider knowledge within North America.
