Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience working in a Near Eye Display technical environment, or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop metrology equipment for near-eye display testing in components level and device level.
- Perform characterization tests and contribute to the development of new test metrics, as well as new test stations (where applicable) for prototype subsystems and system (device level) assemblies.
- Evaluate subsystem assembly and device level performance via image quality, radiometric and colorimetric quantities, and compare vs established metrics.
- Assist in automation of image capture and processing, including development of new strategies and processing algorithms where applicable.
- Analyze and troubleshoot new optical metrology tools, running repeatability tests, and reporting summarized results using appropriate data science/statistical analyses.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Optics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 years of experience in optical metrology methods and instrumentation, including camera and imaging systems.
- Experience in a laboratory setting working with optical testing equipment.
