Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field and seven (7) or more years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, construction, maintenance practices, and applicable codes and regulations
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize work, utilizing time and resources wisely
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills
  • Customer/Team oriented, anticipating, and responding proactively to the needs and concerns of others
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other construction trades

  • Proficient in facilities management software (e.g., CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Develop National Facilities Management strategy, expanding to a holistic company-wide approach across all locations
  • Manage the operation, maintenance, and physical condition of all designated facilities to ensure they remain functional, safe, and compliant with regulatory standards (e.g., FAA, OSHA, local building codes, and healthcare regulations)
  • Create and is held accountable to the national facilities budget across multiple cost centers
  • Develop and maintains stand-alone facilities guidance for company-wide distribution and reference
  • Coordinate and assist regional leadership and local base managers to assess facility needs and execute upgrades, repairs, or expansions
  • Supervise and manage Facilities personnel day to day workload and duties, assist in prioritizing property requirements; delegate duties as required to balance national facilities coverage needs with on-site needs
  • Oversee all spend activity and purchase requests
  • Serve as SME to achieve facilities cost savings and improve quality and service levels while minimizing supply risk
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting of appliances, GSE, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other systems and building issues
  • Lead vendor sourcing, contract negotiation, and oversight of third-party service providers
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent repairs as they arise
  • Coordinate on-site vendors, reviewing vendor documentation, insurance, and verifying compliance with contracts
  • Collaborate with safety, compliance, and clinical operations teams to prepare for audits
  • Establish, maintain, and enforce mechanical preventative maintenance programs
  • Develop proactive plan toward replacing end of life systems and managing capital expenditures
  • Identify issues of concern in building operations, develop proposals for redress and implement as appropriate
  • Conduct regular site visits and property inspections
  • Develop and track strategies for state energy mandates and rebate programs
  • Maintain accurate records of building systems, inspections, repairs, warranties, and compliance documentation
  • Support facility planning for new site development and facility closures or transitions
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 or more years’ experience with related skilled trades (Electrical, carpentry, mechanic, HVAC, welding, machining, etc.) preferred
  • Prior managerial role in facilities or work crews
  • Experience managing service contracts, vendors, and capital improvement projects, preferred
  • Experience in aviation, air medical transport, EMS, or healthcare environments, preferred
  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), or similar credential, preferred
  • BOMA, Corenet Global, IFMA preferred
