Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology
- 1+ year of Radiologic experience
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT)
- Licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Responsibilities
- Specialize in magnetic resonance imaging scanners
- Inject patients with contrast media, such as a dye
- Use magnetic fields in combination with the contrast agent to produce images for diagnosis
