Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology or MRI
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in (MR)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
Responsibilities
- Operates imaging equipment (radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable, C-arm, MRI, NM, US and CT) following radiation safety guidelines based on hospital policy and regulatory requirements
- Provides radiographic support for all areas of the Hospital as needed
- Operates other patient care equipment/devices as appropriate oxygen, suction, syringes, monitors, blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, wheelchairs, stretchers and compression devices
- Position patients accurately for specific anatomic imaging using appropriate immobilization devices when required
- Responsible for injecting patients with contrast media, such as a dye, so that the images will show up on the scanner.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of radiology or MRI experience preferred.
