Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 10+ years of hands-on motorsports engineering experience, with direct contributions to NASCAR Cup, IndyCar, IMSA, WEC, or Formula 1 competition
  • Deep familiarity with engineering systems used in elite racing environments, including simulation, metrology, and vehicle setup
  • Proven success implementing digital systems that reduce at-track work and increase upstream efficiency
  • Strong technical expertise in PLM/ERP system integration, database architecture, and automated data pipelines
  • Proficiency in low-code and full-code development using platforms like C#, Python, VBA, and SQL
  • Experience managing technical documentation, procedures, and compliance via Confluence and Jira
  • Track record of developing tools to improve chassis configuration, part tracking, and asset lifecycle
  • Natural cross-functional communicator, able to translate complex technical needs into practical solutions for race teams and manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Administer and optimize PLM systems (Teamcenter preferred) for managing parts, revisions, workflows, and BOM lifecycle
  • Architect enterprise-grade databases and pipelines to support asset tracking, QA, part life, and historical data use
  • Build custom tools and dashboards using low-code and full-code platforms (e.g., C#, Python, SQL, VBA)
  • Lead the creation of a customer portal that integrates technical documentation, revision control, and service records
  • Provide strategic guidance on Jira workflows and Confluence content organization, enhancing team productivity and transparency
  • Create pipelines that combine data across part numbers, revisions, and attributes to generate actionable insights for manufacturing and race-readiness
  • Align all technical efforts with a budget-conscious mindset, focusing on high impact, low overhead implementations
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and race teams to streamline toolsets and increase factory-floor transparency
