Mobility Tech – Float/CRU – Days

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of hospital based patient care experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Good interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
• Proficient with windows based programs
• Bilingual skills strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care under the direction of a licensed professional
• Assists with Delivery of Physical Therapy Services
• Communicates with nursing staff regarding patients’ status
• Assists the Therapists in care delivery by assisting with positioning, transfers, mobility, etc
• Assists patients with ambulation on the nursing unit as directed by a licensed allied health professional
• Assists with the delivery of therapy services and patient education in a group setting
• Orients new staff to department safety procedures
• Visually inspects clinic equipment regularly
• Reports issues or concerns to environmental services, department leadership or engineering as indicated
• Coordinates with hospital safety officer for regular department safety inspections
• Maintains inspection and monitoring logs for clinic equipment and refrigerators
• Independently monitors inventory of clinic supplies and orders as needed
• Orders office supplies as requested by clerical staff using the Lawson system
• Monitors the supply of linens in the department

Preferred Qualifications

• Spanish speaking strongly preferred
• Bilingual skills strongly preferred
