Requirements
- Demonstrate knowledge in relevant technical areas.
- Solid understanding of GMP manufacturing processes, equipment, and facilities.
- Utilize identified calibration standards and procedures, with the ability to identify appropriate substitute standards.
- Identify and precisely follow established calibration procedures, and accurately record results in accordance with Command Media and ISO requirements.
- Capable of using high precision measuring equipment and scientific instruments to calibrate, verify, adjust, and repair M&TE.
- Can analyze problems and provide support in determining appropriate corrective and preventative actions, with minimal assistance.
- Accesses and uses all sources (e.g. manuals, tech support, internet, peers) for needed technical information needed to support familiar and unfamiliar laboratory instrumentation.
- Perform computerized maintenance management system administrative activities including documentation of assets and their attributes to ensure proper classification, management of work orders – including preventive and corrective maintenance processes.
- Maintain lab preventive maintenance program in accordance with prescribed procedure assuring that tasks are completed to schedule.
- Inform Metrology Supervisor of discrepancies or potential problems that could negatively impact quality systems, product efficacy or safety conditions.
- Responsible for the calibration and repair of precision Measuring and Test Equipment (M&TE), Test Measurement & Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE), and instrumentation in a Standards Laboratory.
- Applies engineering or technical experience to ensure that instruments are properly functioning and verifies performance against established specifications (accuracy, precision, etc.).
- Requires demonstrated work experience in calibration and metrology principles as applied to multiple measurement disciplines.
- Experience with Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratories (PMEL), industry standards such as ISO 17025, ANSI Z540.1 ; Z540.3, ISO 9001, NCSL Recommended Practices, measurement uncertainty (ISO GUM), concepts such as Test Uncertainty Ratio (TUR) and Test Accuracy Ratio (TAR), Repeatability; Reproducibility, Gauge R&R, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), statistics, quality control charts, Out of Tolerance (OOT) investigation and OOT impact analysis.
- Manages workload efficiently in a fast-paced, team environment, with high attention to detail, while practicing Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in an FDA regulated environment.

- Perform assignments with strict adherence to written standard operating procedures where required.

- Provides a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards.
