Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in menswear design, with a strong concentration in woven dress shirts.
  • Advanced knowledge of shirting construction, pattern-making fundamentals, fabric behavior, and finishing techniques.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and relevant CAD tools.
  • Strong trend research and market analysis skills with the ability to translate insights into successful product.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify key trends in silhouettes, fabrics, trims, and finishes specific to men’s shirting.
  • Develop seasonal concepts and collections aligned with brand identity and commercial goals.
  • Create detailed sketches, CADs, and technical packages to communicate design intent clearly to cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain a balanced approach to creativity and commercial viability within the woven shirt category.
  • Lead the design process from initial concept through to final sample, maintaining adherence to development timelines and brand quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with technical design and production teams to refine fit, construction, fabrications, and wash techniques.
  • Source and develop fabrics, trims, and finishes that elevate the product and support differentiation in the market.
  • Ensure product designs meet margin and costing targets without compromising design integrity.
  • Partner with merchandising, sales, and sourcing teams to align assortments with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Incorporate feedback from internal partners and market data to evolve future designs and strategies.
  • Liaise with overseas teams to ensure accurate sample execution and timely product development.
