Requirements
- Manage timely and accurate financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS (i.e. footnote support schedules, tie-outs and disclosure checklists).
- Ensure accurate and transparent financial disclosures by collaborating with various departments, meeting the company’s regulatory and investor expectations. Manage the drafting and review of financial statements and footnotes for regulatory filings, and statutory reports as applicable, in Workiva.
- Support the preparation and review of the consolidation of financial statements and disclosures of multiple legal entities.
- Assist with conducting technical accounting research and evaluation of related disclosure.
- Assist in the implementation of new GAAP accounting standards from a reporting and disclosure perspective.
- Coordinate with the accounting team to prepare the audited financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly and quarterly regulatory reports.
- Help implement and maintain internal controls over financial reporting; coordinate with the internal controls specialist.
- Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for multiple legal entities.
- Perform equity reconciliations, and prepare monthly and quarterly equity workpapers for the Company’s share based payment awards.
- On a quarterly basis, conduct a review and analysis of recent developments in accounting and financial pronouncements (SEC, FASB, PCAOB, etc.) and their likely impact for the company. Prepare a summary of recent developments and circulate to the Finance organization.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve regulatory reporting policies and procedures.
- Help drive continuous improvement in the reporting process, implementing best practices and leveraging technology to streamline reporting and enhance accuracy.
- Assist in external audit processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
- Support implementation and design of new financial and accounting software and integration tools.
- Perform special, ad-hoc projects in Accounting/Finance, as requested.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a combination of audit/financial statement reporting/technical accounting (at a high-growth company, strongly preferred)
- CPA
- Kept up to date with the proliferation of blockchain and crypto innovations
- Experience working with Carta for financial reporting and reconciliation purposes
- Strong understanding of US GAAP standards, including: ASC 718, ASC 815, ASC 326, ASC 606, ASC 350-60
- Experience with accounting for different types of equity awards and equity programs from both a technical and operational perspective
- Ability to identify matters that have a subsequent event impact on the financial statements (Type I or II) with review of Board minutes and other relevant material.
