Requirements
- 4- Year College Degree or higher is required. Degree must emanate from a National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory (NAACLS) accredited program or equivalent.
- Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology with ASCP/AMT, MT or MLS Medical Board Certification is required. Note that board certification is a condition of employment. If not certified, applicant must obtain MLS certification within 1 year of hire, with first board of certification test attempt within the first six months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine automated and manual procedures.
- Verify and report test requests.
- Troubleshoot analyzers and test methods.
- Review quality control values and results.
- Handle phone inquiries from both internal and external customers.
- Call critical value results and problem solve pre-analytical issues.
