Requirements
- High School graduate or GED, along with a Medical Assistant diploma, required.
- A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the provision of direct patient care by performing routine patient care procedures.
- Performs technical and clerical supportive services in the clinical setting.
- Administers intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal injections.
- Performs skin tests, administers oral medication, venipunctures, and skin punctures for blood specimens.
Preferred Qualifications
- A California phlebotomist license is preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience, preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population is preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
