Requirements
- High School graduate or GED along with a Medical Assistant diploma is required.
- A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the provision of direct patient care by performing routine patient care procedures and technical and clerical supportive services in the clinic setting.
- Administer intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal injections.
- Perform skin tests and administer oral medication.
- Perform venipunctures and skin punctures for blood specimens.
Preferred Qualifications
- A California phlebotomist license is preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience, preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population is preferred.
- Bilingual preferred.
