Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency
- Basic computer skills, specifically with navigating within databases containing highly confidential information
- Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate to be received within 90 days
- Prior working experience in a medical office/clinic performing clinical MA duties or a Certified MA from the National Health Career Association (NHA) or completed any MA education program, but has not received certification as of yet.
Responsibilities
- Check in patients, obtaining vital signs & medication reconciliation
- Patient medical history information
- Navigating electronic health record system (EPIC)
- Communicate with pharmacies, insurance companies, patients and physicians and will uphold Baptist’s mission and core values that drive service excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current MA Certification from AAMA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, AAMP
- Basic computer skills, specifically with navigating within databases containing highly confidential information
- Basic Life Support
