Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM discipline (Engineering, Math, Science, Technology; Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is desirable)
  • 5+ years of professional experience in the field of Engineering (3+ years with Master’s Degree or PhD)
  • Experience with elements of an aerospace development program; system design, requirements development, integration, test, validation, verification, project management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Contribute as a key technical member on a team of creative, independent individuals to develop, integrate, and verify complex hydraulic and electromechanical actuators
  • Coordinate/facilitate design product discussions across other development teams and Moog sites
  • Effectively create and communicate design requirements
  • Support the identification and definition of Verification and Validation approaches
  • Develop verification plans and verification cross reference matrices (VCRM’s) for high performance control systems
  • Develop test plans and procedures in support of requirements verification and system qualification
  • Create concise reports to document test results, requirement verification, limitations and constraints
  • Support actuator integration and test, including any anomaly investigations
  • Travel 5-15% to other Moog sites and customer sites (primarily US based)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with aerospace actuator architectures, design, and verification
  • Experience with requirement management tools such as DOORS/Cameo
  • Experience working with safety-critical systems
  • Test experience with electric/hydraulic driven systems
  • Experience in the aerospace industry
  • The engineering degree is in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • DoD Secret clearance or the ability to acquire a clearance
