Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineer License
- At least five years of related experience
- Experience working with HVAC and Plumbing projects for water/wastewater facilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated
- Excellent organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Provide technical planning, and mechanical (HVAC, Plumbing) design and construction support on various water and wastewater treatment and resource recovery projects.
- Prepare engineering calculations and support analysis of alternatives.
- Utilize effective technical writing skills to prepare technical memoranda to document alternative analyses, basis of design, business case evaluations, reports etc.
- Prepare design reports and construction plans for treatment plants and pump stations using local and state standards.
- Prepare/assist with specifications and permit submittals.
- Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks.
- Monitor task budget and progress.
- Document design changes and communications.
- Conduct on-site inspections and technical guidance for start-up as needed.
- Prepare project status and other reports.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals.
- Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc.
- Maintain excellent client relations.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5-20 years of experience
- Experience developing detailed design plans for treatment projects.
