Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering or equivalent education
- 5+ years’ in Mechanical Inspection experience, or 10+ years in commercial field inspection
- Proven experience in quality assurance and quality control in construction projects
- Familiarity with Procore or similar project management software
- Strong understanding of construction standards, codes, and regulations
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders
- Valid Driver’s License required
Responsibilities
- Provide overall quality of work and coordination of construction trade work; conducting detailed inspections of mechanical and electrical construction based on deep, firsthand installation experience
- Perform detailed inspections of conduit and wiring installation, terminations, and splices in junction boxes, panelboards, and cable trays
- Work with the Start-Up Engineers for testing procedures, start-up, and commissioning protocols, to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and ordinances
- Review plans for assigned projects, confirm required inspections of ongoing construction, and perform field inspections of trade work as needed, attend pre-construction conferences, progress meetings, and safety meetings
- Provide coordination of information both written and verbal, to contractors, client staff, Arcadis staff, and outside agencies
- Lead a safety culture, empowering ‘stop work’ authority
