Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical field required.
  • 3-5+ years of manufacturing/mechanical design experience.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical, mechanical, and software systems.
  • Proficient with 3D & 2D Modeling Software (Solidworks & AutoCAD).
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and strong drafting skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and with diverse groups.
  • Strong computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.

Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed analysis and recommendations on configurations to the Sales and Applications installations group, act as first line of response, and may lead customer interactions escalations and requests from Sales or Service.
  • Provide surge capacity and may take on stretch assignments supporting engineering efforts for product design engineering groups.
  • Participate (and may lead) in design validation testing, reliability studies, test documentation, new process development, and Design and Process FMEAs as part of the New Product Development and Launch Process.
  • Complete sustaining product design, testing, and implementation projects to create cost savings, resolve obsolescence issues, improve product reliability, evaluate part drawings for DFM, and provide ongoing Value Analysis Value Engineering for New Product Development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with agile / project management tools a plus.
