Requirements
- Strong background in building systems design
- Experience with heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and plumbing systems
- Proficient in performing system calculations and load analysis
- Experience with equipment selection and energy modeling
- Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit
Responsibilities
- Design HVAC and plumbing systems for new construction and renovation projects, including air distribution, hydronic piping, ductwork, domestic water, sanitary, and storm systems
- Perform system calculations, load analysis, equipment selection, and energy modeling
- Develop and review construction drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Coordinate design solutions with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and other disciplines
- Conduct site visits to assess existing system conditions and verify installation progress
- Support bid, permitting, and construction administration phases, including RFIs, submittals, and punch lists
- Ensure designs meet all applicable codes, standards, and client requirements (ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, IMC, IECC, etc.)
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers
