Requirements
- Proficient in 3D CAD modeling and engineering drawings using Creo 3D software
- Ability to assist engineers in troubleshooting designs and drawings
- Experience in maintaining engineering release and change documentation
- Knowledge of PLM software for storing CAD files and creating engineering notices
- Ability to collaborate with engineers and peers to troubleshoot design issues
Responsibilities
- Prepare 3D CAD models and engineering drawings using Creo 3D software
- Create or modify 3D models and engineering drawings for use in manufacturing
- Verify that 3D models and engineering drawings meet customer needs and adhere to Caterpillar Engineering Standards
- Use PLM software for storing CAD files and maintaining Bills of Material
- Collaborate with engineers and peers to troubleshoot design issues
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s (technical) degree in Mechanical Drafting or 4 years of work related experience in lieu of a degree
