Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of hand on experience developing and validating mechanical components, with a proven track record of product releases.
- High proficiency with mechanical CAD system.
- Hands-on experience with a variety of testing equipment and instrumentation (e.g., environmental chambers, thermal validation, vibration shakers).
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, and testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Experience with designing and fabricating test fixtures and tooling.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical product design, prototyping, and validation of power electronics enclosures and support systems.
- Support mechanical validation process
- Design and fabricate custom test fixtures, tooling, and equipment to meet specific testing requirements.
- Analyze test data and present findings to engineering and management teams.
- Prepare and measure thermal validation prototypes
- Collaborate with design engineers to provide feedback on design for testability (DFT) and identify potential design improvements.
- Support manufacturing partners in DFM and verification stages
- Perform part and assembly level tolerance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
