Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in implementing MDM solutions
  • 3 years of experience in building MDM solutions as an architect
  • 5 years of hands-on experience implementing MDM solutions
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing MDM solutions in an enterprise environment
  • Strong knowledge of MDM platforms and technologies (e.g., Reltio MDM, Informatica MDM, SAP Master Data Governance)
  • Understanding of data modeling, data integration, data migration, and data quality best practices
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and methodologies
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Strong team player with ability to collaborate with data architects, analysts, product teams and business users to understand requirements for effective implementation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to assess data management needs, define data architecture, and design scalable MDM solutions that align with business objectives
  • Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures to maintain data quality, consistency, and integrity. Define data ownership, stewardship, and accountability roles
  • Create and maintain data models, taxonomies, and hierarchies to represent master data domains accurately. Define relationships between different data entities
  • Oversee the integration of master data from various source systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across the organization. Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes when necessary
  • Implement data quality controls, validation rules, and data cleansing processes to identify and rectify data anomalies, duplicates, and inconsistencies
  • Manage metadata related to master data, including data definitions, business rules, and data lineage. Ensure that metadata is accurately documented and maintained
  • Administer MDM software and tools, including configuration, data profiling, data mapping, and workflow design
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, resolve data-related issues, and support data-driven initiatives and projects
  • Lead change management efforts to promote data governance best practices and ensure the adoption of MDM processes and technologies across the organization
  • Monitor and measure data quality and MDM system performance. Identify opportunities for process optimization and enhancement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications in MDM or data management are a plus
