Requirements
- Degree or equivalent experience desired
- ASCM CSCP, CPIM or similar certification
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Familiarity with demand planning software and tools such as QAD/Mfg Pro
- Background in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Procurement or similar discipline
Responsibilities
- Participate in scheduling production and delivery processes in accordance with current productivity and cost efficiency standards
- Coordinate the release of materials and monitor material inventory in the plant, warehouse, and by critical suppliers
- Plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor the flow of products through the complete production cycle
- Provide timely planning and scheduling of production of orders to manufacturing floor to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates
- Review production specifications and identify and report plant capacity constraints
- Develop effective scheduling processes to achieve production objectives
- Coordinate with production to develop and maintain scheduling parameters
- Analyze sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements
- Maintain adequate levels of stocked and controlled components to meet anticipated production demand, adjusting order review points to minimize shortages or overages
- Maintain and update the item master database to ensure accuracy and completeness of item information
- Ensure that all item attributes, such as descriptions, units of measure, and classifications, are correctly entered and maintenance
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure that item master data aligns with business requirements and standards
- Perform regular audits of item master data to identify and correct discrepancies
- Implement and maintain processes for adding new items and retiring obsolete items in the system
- Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to the material planning process
Preferred Qualifications
