Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent experience desired
  • ASCM CSCP, CPIM or similar certification
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Familiarity with demand planning software and tools such as QAD/Mfg Pro
  • Background in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Procurement or similar discipline

Responsibilities

  • Participate in scheduling production and delivery processes in accordance with current productivity and cost efficiency standards
  • Coordinate the release of materials and monitor material inventory in the plant, warehouse, and by critical suppliers
  • Plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor the flow of products through the complete production cycle
  • Provide timely planning and scheduling of production of orders to manufacturing floor to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates
  • Review production specifications and identify and report plant capacity constraints
  • Develop effective scheduling processes to achieve production objectives
  • Coordinate with production to develop and maintain scheduling parameters
  • Analyze sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements
  • Maintain adequate levels of stocked and controlled components to meet anticipated production demand, adjusting order review points to minimize shortages or overages
  • Maintain and update the item master database to ensure accuracy and completeness of item information
  • Ensure that all item attributes, such as descriptions, units of measure, and classifications, are correctly entered and maintenance
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure that item master data aligns with business requirements and standards
  • Perform regular audits of item master data to identify and correct discrepancies
  • Implement and maintain processes for adding new items and retiring obsolete items in the system
  • Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to the material planning process

Preferred Qualifications
