Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years’ experience in materials planning, supply chain, or procurement (manufacturing/aerospace preferred).
  • Experience with ERP/MRP system proficiency (SAP, DOME, Smartsheet) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience managing supplier performance, material risk, and production schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute material plans to meet engine schedule requirements.
  • Partner with Buyers, Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Customer Service to align materials with production needs.
  • Monitor, communicate, and mitigate material risks to ensure schedule adherence.
  • Manage urgent material issues, perform availability analysis, and maintain tracking/reporting updates.
  • Update and maintain production schedules in DOME, Smartsheet, and MRP systems.
  • Support communications schedule, pacing, and risk tracking across operations.
  • Provide analysis for inductions, production improvements, and ad hoc operational requests.
  • Manage supplier performance, alternate part strategies, and material escalations.
  • Expedite purchase orders, ensure transaction compliance, and maintain Tier 1 material tracking.
  • Lead supplier escalations and internal processes to protect engine schedules.
  • Conduct monthly Vendor Management Reviews (VMRs) to assess supplier performance, escalate risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive standardization and process improvements for material planning and scheduling.
  • Review technical material requirements prior to inductions to ensure sourcing readiness.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or certifications (MBA, PMP, Six Sigma, CSCP).
  • 3 years’ experience in regulated industries (aerospace, automotive, defense).
  • Strategic leadership experience in material planning or supply chain transformation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, mitigate risks, and drive material readiness under pressure.
  • Experience in supply chain disruption management, risk mitigation, and supplier relationship development.
  • Advanced skills in analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau) and inventory management strategies.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate cross-functionally and report to leadership.
