Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Marketing Communications, Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, or Mass Communications from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of marketing communications and PR experience.
- Three (3) years of experience in management or team lead role in a matrixed organization.
- Proven experience developing and executing integrated marketing communication strategies in a B2B or enterprise-level environment, ideally in the healthcare technology sector or healthcare sector.
- Strong command of writing, including expertise in AP Style.
Responsibilities
- Leading a team of marketing communication specialists: manage and mentor the team, assign and prioritize work and ensure team alignment and collaboration with product marketing teams as well as marketing operations teams.
- Develop and oversee integrated marketing communications strategies in collaboration with product marketing, campaign strategists, and other marketing functions to deliver consistent, impactful campaigns across the entire portfolio.
- Drive the organization’s thought leadership positioning by crafting compelling narratives, collaborating with subject matter experts, and amplifying our voice across owned, earned, and shared channels.
- Manage public relations agency to build and execute earned media strategies, secure high value earned media placements, develop and strengthen our media relations, and increase awareness of our brand and expertise across industry publications and influencers.
- Own the strategy and coordination of owned media efforts, including social media, blogs and podcasts; oversee the editorial calendar to ensure timely, relevant coverage of key topics, and drive amplification of this content across channels to position the organization as a subject matter leader and preferred partner in the market.
- Strategizing Messaging: Craft a comprehensive messaging strategy and develop creative content plans that align with HIS marketing initiatives to drive client demand.
- Content Development: Create and write engaging content tailored for diverse audiences across multiple formats and distribution channels.
- Ensure consistency of brand voice, tone, and messaging across all communication channels and assets, reinforcing our newly launched brand identity.
- Serve as a brand steward and guardian of editorial quality, ensuring all marketing communications meet standards for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Monitor communication performance metrics and media coverage to continuously optimize strategies and demonstrate business impact.
- Continuous Improvement Advocate: Promote ongoing enhancements in content delivery to yield positive business outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- A master’s degree in communications, marketing, or an MBA.
- Strong leadership and project management experience, adept at collaborating diplomatically with internal and external teams while managing tight timelines across multiple projects.
- Strong background in leading content strategy across channels, including blogs, podcasts, organic social media, and earned media, with advanced knowledge of communication processes and technologies.
- Deep understanding of brand management and editorial governance, with a track record of maintaining consistency across complex portfolios and multiple communication channels.
- Excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills, complemented by strong interpersonal abilities, including effective pitching, writing, editing, and presentation skills.
- A self-starter with a proactive, deadline-driven approach and the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations.
- Expertise in crafting engaging copy and executing multi-faceted campaigns (traditional, social, digital) that resonate with the Solventum brand to enhance awareness and generate qualified leads.
- Strong decision-making and prioritization skills, with the ability to act swiftly and strategically.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to adhere to specific internal processes.
