Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example living our core operational values: Listen, Challenge, Transform, Care and Commit.
  • Develop oneself to obtain a robust understanding of production procedures and tasks, including 3D printing of production components, electric assembly of devices, service and repair activities, shipping, and electrical/acoustical testing.
  • Collaborate on new equipment/process implementation, and execution of improvements on existing equipment/processes.
  • Represent Manufacturing Engineering Team to other teams in operations, serving as a liaison for process improvements, production activities, and data acquisition of failure modes and device/process analysis.
  • Participate in deploying facility layout changes, as required.
  • Lead and oversee rework efforts, as required.
  • Perform quality checks on devices.
  • Identify and drive improvement efforts to support cost, quality, delivery, and safety initiatives.
  • As needed, collect and trend data on returned product and process failures, and provide recommendations to engineering team on process improvements to address root causes.
  • Proactively identifies growth and development opportunities within their role both technical and professional and drives for continual improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of LEAN methodologies and applying such tools to operations.
  • Hearing or medical device experience.
  • 1-3 years of equipment experience in a production environment with assembly.
  • Electronic assembly, firmware management, 3D printing systems, UV cure systems, acoustical test systems, laser marking.
  • 1-3 years of experience working in a regulated environment (i.e. ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA QSR).
  • Experience with data acquisition/analysis, and demonstrated ability for fact-based decision-making leveraging analytics.
