Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in any field will be considered if accompanied with equivalent levels of experience and accomplishments.
  • A master’s degree is a plus but not required
  • Strong ownership, a self-starter, self-led, strong servant mindset
  • A strong bias to action with a track record of superior results
  • Strong leadership skillset
  • 10+ years of combined experience in the following: Leadership roles in Manufacturing, Industrial, Welding Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience in a manufacturing and heavy fabrication environment is required.
  • Desire to grow and take on new challenges and opportunities.
  • Six-Sigma training and/or certification a plus
  • Project Management experience

Responsibilities

  • Inspire, lead, and nurture an exceptional engineering team, fostering a culture of accountability, and continuous improvement, and prioritizing the well-being of our team members.
  • Cultivate a Culture by coaching, training, evaluating, and reinforcing Manufacturing & Process Engineering principles with our partners and team members.
  • Provide oversight and execute capital and process improvements to optimize new and existing processes.
  • Serve as the central point for identifying opportunities in the manufacturing processes to optimize, reduce risk, improve process capability, innovate, and maximize the performance of the entire operation system.
  • Provide strong leadership to the engineering team, assigning team members roles based on their strengths and maintaining team productivity.
  • Actively involved in overseeing current production performance for the overall Category, offering technical solutions to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Production targets through continuous improvement and lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Actively review category-wide KPIs and perform data analysis using analytical skills to evaluate information carefully and solve complex problems.
  • Work closely with companywide maintenance and reliability teams to improve equipment reliability and prevent major downtime.
  • Conduct financial analysis and track capital spending to ensure that capital projects meet or exceed ROI.
  • Provide recommendations regarding process improvements, automation, design for manufacturability, and new product/process development through strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with Company and Plant Leadership to identify and communicate customer requirements and update engineering process controls to reflect best practices.
  • Lead and manage program deployment at the company.
  • Be involved in understanding and addressing the daily operational challenges, as well as comprehending the core functions of the business and the manufacturing equipment used.
