Requirements

  • Proven experience in business and financial management, with a strong focus on operational efficiency.
  • Strong understanding of technology trends, including automation, AI, and sustainability practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and inspire teams.
  • Ability to navigate contract negotiations and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the Print, Mail, and Laundry departments, ensuring alignment with the university’s mission, vision, and goals.
  • Oversee the creation of long-term financial forecasts and business plans.
  • Lead financial analysis efforts, including cost/benefit analysis, pricing structures, cash flow, and inventory control.
  • Drive continuous improvement in workflows and ensure service delivery meets industry standards.
  • Oversee product design and workflow adherence to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Analyze risk factors and financial impacts, comparing data against industry benchmarks.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and university policies.
  • Optimize equipment and facilities for maximum efficiency.
  • Lead the evaluation and improvement of critical contract provisions to optimize operations and reduce costs.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with vendors to support long-term business growth and manage supply chain challenges.
  • Develop marketing strategies to increase both on-campus and off-campus business opportunities.
  • Lead institutional sales efforts and build lasting customer relationships.
  • Stay updated on industry-specific technologies and AI advancements to improve service delivery.
  • Lead efforts for automation, electronic storefronts, and enhanced tracking systems to streamline operations.
  • Apply sustainability principles to all production services operations and initiatives.
  • Coach and mentor a diverse team, fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee recruitment, employee training, and performance evaluations to ensure alignment with the division’s mission and values.
  • Work closely with HR to implement employee retention strategies and professional development programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Leadership experience in print, mail, or laundry services preferred.
