Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification in compliance (e.g., CAMS, CRCM) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory and AML compliance roles, preferably within the financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and AML laws and regulations.
- Proven ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements to business operations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and achieving goals.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in compliance management software and tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regulatory compliance policies and procedures.
- Monitor and interpret changes in regulatory requirements and ensure the organization remains compliant.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
- Interface with regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of required reports and documents.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on regulatory compliance practices.
- Develop and implement AML policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee AML risk assessments and ensure appropriate controls are in place to mitigate identified risks.
- Conduct investigations into suspicious activities and transactions and report findings to relevant authorities.
- Maintain and update the AML compliance program, ensuring it addresses current regulatory trends and risks.
- Coordinate and participate in AML training programs for staff across the organization.
- Identify, assess, and manage risks related to regulatory and AML compliance.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and ensure their implementation across the organization.
- Monitor the effectiveness of compliance programs and procedures and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to risk management and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all compliance activities and decisions.
- Prepare and present regular compliance reports to senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure all reporting requirements related to regulatory and AML compliance are met in a timely manner.
