Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related field
- Strong understanding of quality management principles and methodologies (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing)
- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on quality control
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and statistical methods
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management systems (QMS) including inspection protocols, testing procedures, and documentation to ensure product consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular quality checks throughout the production process, including sampling, testing, and data analysis to identify potential quality issues and take corrective actions
- Investigate non-conforming products, identify root causes of defects, and implement preventive measures to prevent recurrence
- Ensure adherence to all relevant quality standards, industry regulations (e.g., ISO, UL), and customer specifications
- Train production staff on quality procedures, standards, and proper documentation practices to promote a culture of quality awareness
- Conduct internal quality audits and manage external audits to identify areas for improvement and maintain compliance
- Analyze quality data to identify trends, generate reports, and present findings to plant management to support decision-making
- Lead initiatives to optimize production processes and identify opportunities for quality improvement through Lean Manufacturing principles (structured problem solving) or other methodologies
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality standards and address supplier quality issues
