Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Economics, or a relevant field with a minimum of 8 years of applicable experience in areas such as: supplier management experience, including qualifying suppliers, negotiating pricing and contracts, and managing supplier quality. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Advanced knowledge of supply chain methodologies, models, and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, including the ability to communicate concepts, data, and recommendations to management.
  • Experience performing economic evaluations for the procurement of equipment and services.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct a team of Buyers to ensure timely process of high volume of material and services as requested by the Business.
  • Responsible for generating and maintaining various reports as required. Includes tracking and trending of performance measures.
  • Ensure compliance with controls and procedures.
  • Communication and share information with the internal Business units and within the Purchasing team.
  • Evaluate proposal for awards (PA) and approve tenders to ensure that the purchasing process has been followed.
  • Develop and maintain a high-performance culture, resulting in continued success by meeting KPIs and improved levels of service to internal and external customers.
  • Sets goals and challenges employees, provide staff with coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the energy industry
  • Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Economics, or a relevant field.
  • CMP, C.P.S.M, or equivalent certifications or working toward achievement is welcome
