Requirements
- 5+ years experience of work experience in Data Science, Marketing Analytics, Product Analytics Consulting, Decision Science and/or Business Analytics
- Experience in building business-facing visualizations and dashboards (Tableau, Looker)
- Proven ability to drive decision-making using data, working cross-functionally with diverse teams
- Proven track-record of deriving insights from large data sources and presenting in a clear and concise narrative form
- Superior organization, project management skills, and attention to detail
- Experience with A/B testing, experimentation, and user behavior analysis
- Strong proficiency in SQL
- Experience in checking analytics instrumentation and proactively communicating issues to engineers and PMs
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to track and analyze key product metrics to evaluate the success of new and existing features
- Define and maintain product KPIs to measure and communicate product impact
- Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure quality instrumentation
- Develop and automate dashboards and reports to provide real-time insights into product performance
- Provide regular performance reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) to track progress and inform stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for data analysis that inform product decisions
- Find the thread across multiple data points and translate the data into actionable insights
- Design and analyze A/B tests and experiments to support feature releases, ensuring data is accurately collected and interpreted
- Advise product teams on data-backed recommendations to improve product features and user experiences
- Communicate complex analytical findings in a clear, accessible manner to influence product direction and strategy
- Undertake ad-hoc analysis for other stakeholders
- Dive deep into user data to uncover behavioral patterns, preferences, and pain points that will influence product development
- Leverage quantitative and qualitative data to provide insights into user journeys and identify areas for improvement or innovation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on consumer products, preferably in the Media and/or Tech space
- An analytics leader who can find the thread across multiple data points, translate the data into actionable insights, and is not afraid to tell the difficult story to stakeholders
- Experienced with fast-paced teams working across time-zones that move quickly on product iterations while working on multiple projects within a matrixed team
